Cookies & MORE SNOW!!

The last I heard the "official" number of inches of snow that my area received was 16".  SIXTEEN INCHES.  AND IT'S STILL FALLING.  They expect another 4-6" tonight. 

I've had a very productive day - cleaning the HECK out of my apartment, vacuuming, and baking some cookies.  I made Oatmeal Raisin, because that was the only cookie recipe I could make with what I had in my cupboard (believe me, there is NO going outside today...not even to the grocery store around the corner).  So I made a batch of oatmeal raisins using this recipe here and they turned out really well!! I read all the notes associated with the recipe on that site and went according to the suggestions people gave, and I also had to add another 2 TBL of butter because they were coming out dry..but they turned out great! I gave them to my favorite neighbors - an elderly woman and her adult granddaughter who live across the hall from me. I hope they liked them!!

 

 

I kinda wish I still had some of them around because I have got a killer sweet tooth right now!! Anyway...it's looking like I might not get out of my place tomorrow, either.  I got invited to a Christmas party but it's looking iffy as to whether or not I'll actually make it out there...the snow is so deep and it is not letting up anytime soon, so who knows!
