26 years ago today I was diagnosed with leukemia. Thanks to the incredible pediatric oncologists at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center and the ongoing research of organizations like The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, I have been in remission for over twenty years and am considered totally cured.
Today I am thankful for so many blessings and remembering those who were not as lucky as I was.
