Greetings from Tampa!

This week I am in Tampa, FL, all week for work.  I've had a great couple of weekends - three weekends ago, I went down to NC to visit my family.  Then, two weekends ago, my Mom and little sister Sarah came up to DC to visit me.  We had a ball exploring Old Town Alexandria and went to the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, and we even had dinner with Heidi!

This past weekend I flew to Louisville, KY on Friday and James drove down from Bloomington to pick me up at the airport.  We had tickets to see THE AVETT BROTHERS (my favorite band in the whole world) at the Louisville Palace Theatre! It was a fantastic show and they played a lot of old songs which I loved. We drove back to Bloomington Friday night.  We had a wonderful weekend after that too - we went to the Bloominton Farmers' Market, I got my haircut at my favorite salon in Bloomington (where I used to go all the time when I was in school), and - most importantly - we shopped for our Halloween costumes!! We went as Pop-Eye and Olive Oyl, and our costumes were entirely homemade! We both bought shirts and pants/skirt at Goodwill (for $3.99 each!) and then we went to crafts stores and fabric stores to get the other materials.  James even went to a tobacco shop to get his corn cob pipe!!  We had a blast - first we went to our friends Caleb and Jessi's house to show off our sweet costumes to them, and then we went to an MBA Halloween party.  We had a great time!

Sunday James made me a special treat for breakfast.  My favorite breakfast in the whole world is the Breakfast Burrito from a restaurant we discovered over the summer in Columbus, Ohio called Northstar.  Northstar is this great restaurant that sources all local and organic ingredients, and their breakfast burrito is to-die-for!!  It is a succulent combination of eggs, sweet potatoes, sauteed onions and peppers, black beans, salsa, all in a sun dried tomato wrap...OMG it is amazing.  Here is a picture I grabbed off their website:

James has been offering to make this for me for a while now, and I finally took him up on it on Sunday! Using ingredients we got from the Farmers' Market, he reverse-engineered the recipe and it came out PERFECT! James even added avocado after a special request from me (I could eat avocado on anything) and we ate the leftover sweetpotato/onions on the side just because they were so darn good. Anyway, here is what James' breakfast burrito turned out like...it was absolutely PHENOMENAL!!!!! SO DELICIOUS!!!

Then on Sunday we went to watch the Colts play with our friends Caleb and Jessi, and we had a great time! James had a little bit of homework to do, so I went back to Caleb and Jessi's place with them while he went and worked, then he met up with us in the evening and we continued to hang out with them and their awesome (and enormous) Newfoundland, Darryl.  Here are some pictures:

Me, Darryl, and James...

Darryl fell had over heels in love with James, wouldn't leave him alone!!

It was a great weekend, and I headed out EARLY on Monday (4 AM...yikes) to fly to Tampa for the week.  The best part is that on Friday I'm flying BACK to Indianapolis because I'm partcipating in the first ever Women's Weekend at Kelley! Kelley is inviting recent female MBA alums to come back and speak to prospective female students about life after business school.  Super excited!!!!

Before I sign off I'd like to give a shout-out to my little sister Sarah, who just won the "BEST STUDENT DIRECTOR" award at the NC Theater Conference High School Play Festival for the play she directed!!! CONGRATULATIONS SARAH!!
