The last few weeks have been absolutely fantastic! Over Memorial Day James' parents hosted an engagement party for us in Indianapolis. It was magnificent and pictures will be coming very soon! The photographer who captured our proposal at the airport, Angel Canary, shot candid pictures at the party and they will be up on her website soon! For now she has a posted a sneak-peek and you can see that here. Be sure to scroll down. The guy in the blue pants with red handkerchief is none other than our friend Caleb! And the very first picture in the top left corner is James' beautiful mom, Marilyn. I will post the link as soon as the other pictures are up!
My big news is that I got a job in Columbus!!!!! I was offered a position with Nationwide Insurance in their marketing strategy group. This is really exciting news and we are absolutely THRILLED! Most of James' stuff is already moved into our townhouse in Columbus, but I will be moving in around the 20th of June. I start my new job (and, coincidentally, James starts his new job at Scotts) on June 28. My last day with Booz Allen Hamilton is one week from today!! We are so excited!!
Or other big news is that we are RUNNING OUR FIRST FULL MARATHON!!! We have decided to run the Columbus Marathon on October 17, 2010, and we will be doing it with Team in Training to raise money for the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society! Our fundraising page is HERE and we will soon be sending out letters asking for donations (though some very generous friends and family have already donated- we can't thank you enough for your support!!). Currently I'm having some more IT-band issues in my right leg/knee which is precluding me from running any more than 2 or 3 miles, but I am stretching, stretching, stretching, icing and resting, so hopefully it will be back in shape soon!!
This weekend we're driving down to NC to attend my little sister's Sarah high school graduation! And then next Saturday (the day after my last day at Booz) we set sail on a cruise with my family and James' family! 5-day cruise to Bermuda! WOOHOO!!! Lots of exciting things are underway and June is going to be one fun month!!!
This is what Susan and I use for our IT-band problems: http://www.performbetter.com/detail.aspx_Q_ID_E_4279_A_CategoryID_E_235 . It's the only way I have found to stretch it that does any good.
ReplyDeletePaul, thanks for the comment! I have one too and roll over it - do you guys do anything different I should know about?
